“I read my friend Cindy's book yesterday traveling home from our annual charity golf tournament. Ironically, it was to raise funds for veterans suffering with PTSD. I met Cindy several years ago, when I was releasing my own book at Barnes and Noble in Plano, Texas. I had never met her before, but she came to meet me and we became instant friends. I gather she has that affect on many people. I had known some of Cindy's story through conversation over the years, but I had never known the extent to which she and Phil suffered. My heart broke for them both on many levels. I identified with the rejection of a father that is suppose to love unconditionally. I was shocked at her upbringing and how greatly she was isolated as a young woman.
